Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
Papers 3 for Windows works on both 32- and 64-bit machines

It is not possible to install Papers 3 for Windows on Windows 8 RT

Currently supported search engines:

arXiv, ACM, ADS, CERN DS, Crossref, IEEExplore, Highwire, Inspire, Google Books, Google Patents, Google Scholar, Gutenberg, JSTOR, Pubmed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Springer Link and Web of Science.

Library screen: missing features

  • merging duplicate publications
  • activity tab in the Inspector
  • exporting PDFs
  • creating a new publication from reference

Reader screen

  • viewing page thumbnails

Papers 1.5 library import

It is only possible to import a Papers 1.5 library during the initial library start up. If the Papers 1.5 library is not in the default location in AppData/Roaming you need to Browse to the library folder location and select the whole Library folder (usually Papers2 folder) and point Papers to the location.

Matching

  • It is not currently possible to view the PDF when matching it.
  • It is not currently possible to select text from a PDF for matching.
