Sync your current iOS library

Do you have a Papers 3 library on your iOS device that you would like to share between platforms and devices? (You can download the free Papers app for iPhone/iPad [here](https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/papers-3/id700959105?mt=8).)

These instructions outline how to set up syncing of your current iOS library. Please ensure you have met all the prerequisites before you begin.

Set up syncing

  1. If you haven’t done so already, please sign up to Dropbox and install the Dropbox client.

  2. Open Papers 3 and go to Settings (3 dots)>Set up Synchronization

  3. The Dropbox client will be launched. Please log into Dropbox and authorise access.

  4. Select the desired location to store your Library.papers3 in Dropbox.

  5. Papers should now sync your library. The initial sync can take some time. You can view the progress under Settings (3 dots).

  6. In the future you can manually sync using the Sync now button under Settings (3 dots), as well as set your preference to sync automatically and limit file storage (under Settings (3 dots)>Settings).

Share this library with your other devices

Now that you have placed your current iOS library in Dropbox, you can set up your other devices to share this library. Find out how to connect to this library from another Mac, Windows, or iOS device.

Sync now also available via Wifi

It is now also possible to sync you Papers 3 for Mac and iOS libraries via Wifi. Please see these instructions for instructions.
