I saw on Paper's Twitter feed that the two apps are being combined into one.
@papersapp"New app combining Papers & ReadCube is coming out later in the fall! Thanks for your patience!"
So this new app - what's its name going to be - Papers or ReadCube? Will it be more Papers with ReadCube functionality, or ReadCube with legacy support for Papers?

Regardless, given the lack any updates or troubleshooting of the Papers app in the last five months, my takeaway is that this is to be expected as all development resources are going into the new app. Am I incorrect in this interpretation?

    Hey Niles -

Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us concerning the future of Papers and ReadCube.

You are correct in that most developmental efforts are being placed in the next version of Papers. As a result, it is unlikely that Papers 3 will see any significant updates. However! Things are full steam ahead for the new application and while I can't reveal the name of it to you just yet, if you'd like to sign up to be a beta tester, you can do so here.

We're hoping to have the beta available shortly!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Best,

    Cary
